IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED TO HIRE A VEHICLE : ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND OUR OFFICE TO BE PUT ON THE VEHICLES INSURANCE
IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED FROM EACH AND EVERY DRIVER
We require three forms of Identification, please bring one form of identification from each section below:
IF YOU HAVE A UK DRIVING LICENCE: SECTION 1. Full UK Driving Licence:
If you have the new photo card licence you must also bring the A4 counter part as well. If you are unable to produce your UK driving licence we carryout a DVLA Licence Check for a small fee. SECTION 2. Valid Credit Card, Debit Card OR Valid Passport. SECTION 3.
Utility Bill (i.e. Gas, Electric, Water, Council Tax Invoice) OR Bank Statement OR Credit Card Statement.
ALL bills must be dated within the last 3 months from the date you collect the vehicle, with the drivers name and current address shown.
IF YOU HAVE AN EU OR NON UK DRIVING LICENCE:
(if you have a non UK driving licence you must notify us when booking any vehicle.)
We require the following forms of Identification, please bring one form of identification from each section below: SECTION 1.
Either: EU Driving Licence OR Non EU Driving Licence AND International Driving Permit. SECTION 2.
Valid Passport AND Debit/Credit Card SECTION 3.
If you live in the UK:
Utility Bill OR Bank Statement dated within 3 months of the date you collect the vehicle with your name and current UK address.
If you do not live in the UK: Either:
Your return flight ticket
OR
If you are staying at an address in the UK we require a letter from the person you are staying with confirming you have permission to use their utility bill as a proof of address, the bill must be dated within the last 3 months.
IF A COMPANY WISH TO HIRE:
We require the following forms of Identification, please bring one form of identification from each section below: SECTION 1.
Drivers Full Driving Licence
If your driver(s) have the new photo card licence you must also bring the A4 counter part as well. SECTION 2.
The driver(s) will also need to produce either: Credit Card, Debit Card OR Valid Passport. SECTION 3.
From the Company either: A Company Letter Head or Purchase Order. This can be faxed to 01708 521293 or handed in to the office when you collect the vehicle.
If the driver(s) are unable to provide the above identification, please contact us.
LICENSE CATEGORIES ENTITLEMENTS:
YOU NEED TO HAVE THE CORRECT CATEGORIES ON YOUR DRIVING LICENSE TO DRIVE CERTAIN VEHICLES.
CATEGORY B/B1: entitles you to drive a up to a 9 seater vehicle (including drivers seat) and a 35cwt (3500kg) Jumbo Luton Van.
BUT all holders of a ‘B’ driving licence may drive a mini bus in the circumstances explained below.
If your driving licence does not have a D or D1 category there are circumstances where you may still be able to do so.
You may drive our mini buses with up to 15 seats (including the drivers seat) as long as:
• you are driving for social purposes for a non-commercial body but do not make a profit.
• you are between the ages of 25 and 70
• you have held a full category B driving licence for at least 2 years
• you are providing your services on a voluntary basis; and
• the mini bus weighs no more than 3.5 ton (3500 kg)
CATEGORY D1: entitles you to drive a up to a 17 seater vehicle (including drivers seat).
CATEGORY C1: entitles you to drive up to a 7.5 ton (7500kg) vehicle.
Identification required may vary subject to terms and conditions when booking a vehicle.
PLEASE REMEMBER: IF YOUR IDENTIFICATION PAPERS ARE NOT IN ORDER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HIRE A VEHICLE AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT/HIRE YOU PAID ON BOOKING
